Deep into injury time Ahmed Arif (Aari) fired home as TC and Maziya share the spills in an important fixture as fight over second places continues in the Male’ league.
TC are now Two points adrift of Maziya who are in second place with 17 points. As TC closed the gap to two points it was all good news for New Radiant as they see their lead at the summit extend to five points. Blues sit comfortably at the top of the table with 22 points. Eagles, TC and victory are all level on point with 15 on the board.
Maziya were cruising toward maximum points thanks to goals from Ahmed Imaaz and Cornelius Stewart. Ahmed Imaaz found the net in the 29th minute.
Saint Vincent and Grenadines striker Stewart extended the greenboys lead to two nil after scoring against his former side and refused to celebrate as a sign of respect.
TC comeback took shape thanks to Vlasichev Anatolii placing the ball into a empty net after his penalty was saved by Mauro Boerchio. Anatolii penalty was conceded by Serbian center back Milos. Anatolii’s first penalty was saved by mauro but the linesman ordered for it to be taken as Mauro moves before the referees whistle.
As TC continued to push forward Maziya took of their midfielder Ahmed Hassan and replaced him with defender Gasim Samaah. Maziya’s what we have is what we hold on to tactics back fired in spectacular fashion.
In the dying minutes of the game TC launched a long ball which was taken on by Mahudhee who some how found Arif who fired home to give TC a point.
Referee blew his final whistle as TC players continued to celebrate. Maziya players reacted with frustration and anger having blown away a two goal lead and surrendering three points to share the spoils with TC.
